Deportation Defense Law is edited by Hassan Benmouloud, an independent consultant, through Loom Digital LLC (Montana, United States). I am not an attorney, not a notario, and not a DOJ-accredited representative. Nothing published here is legal advice, and no one at this site can represent you in immigration court.
What I do: gather what official sources say about removal proceedings, in plain English and Spanish, and connect people with licensed immigration attorneys.
Where the information comes from
Every guide is written from primary sources, cited with direct links at the foot of each page:
- The Immigration and Nationality Act and the Code of Federal Regulations (8 C.F.R.).
- EOIR materials, including the Immigration Court Practice Manual.
- Official forms and instructions from USCIS, ICE and EOIR.
- Published decisions of the Supreme Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
- Research from established organizations such as the American Immigration Council.
Pages carry a last-reviewed date. Immigration law moves fast, especially on detention and bond: if a page has not been reviewed in months, treat it as a starting point and confirm with an attorney.
How the contact form works
When you submit the form, your information goes to a licensed immigration law firm covering your area and case type, so they can contact you. We charge nothing to the people who write in. Firms that receive cases pay a flat advertising fee; that fee never depends on whether you hire the attorney or on what you pay them.
We are not a comprehensive directory and this is not an endorsement. Compare firms, ask for fees in writing, and verify any attorney's license with the state bar before signing anything.
